MG Bathroom & Tiles Website Redesign
MG Bathroom & Tiles stocks some of the finest bathroom brands in Europe — but their website wasn't reflecting any of that. I rebuilt it from the ground up: nine pages, a dark luxury aesthetic, and a gold design system that communicates the quality of their showroom before a visitor reads a single word.

Before: A generic website that could have belonged to any trade supplier — no visual identity, no sense of the premium brands they carry, and a layout that gave first-time visitors no reason to stay.
After: A nine-page WordPress website with a dark, editorial aesthetic and warm gold accents throughout. Every page carries the same sense of craft — with smooth scroll animations, a custom video showcase for the doors collection, and a mobile experience that works properly at every screen size.
A luxury product range that wasn't showing up that way online
MG Bathroom & Tiles carries leading European bathroom brands — Kaldewei, Hansgrohe, Novellini, Crosswater, Merlyn — but their website looked like a basic trade directory listing. Visitors arriving from search had no way to feel the quality of what was on offer before they ever picked up the phone.
A bathroom showroom's website is its first impression for most customers. The site needed to carry real visual weight on every page — not just the homepage. The challenge was to build something that made visitors feel like they'd already arrived at the right place, before they'd even called the showroom.
Nine pages. One cohesive identity.
I designed and built nine fully responsive pages — Homepage, Bathrooms, Tiles, Doors, Flooring, Gallery, About, and Contact — each with its own hero, its own structure, and its own sense of purpose. The design language stays consistent throughout: dark backgrounds with warm cream typography, and gold used as the single accent colour across buttons, borders, and interactive elements.
Every section uses the same scroll reveal animations, so the site feels considered and alive as you move through it. The navigation is fixed, readable on every device, and collapses to a clean burger menu on mobile. The contact page includes two email channels and two direct phone lines, with an integrated enquiry form so visitors can reach the team however they prefer.
The Doors page features a custom autoplay video section — a built-from-scratch video player with play/pause, volume, and mute controls — giving the doors collection the kind of cinematic showcase it deserves. The Gallery page pulls directly from their WordPress media library, so the team can keep it updated without touching any code.

Gold earns trust before the copy does
In bathroom showroom design, warmth and craftsmanship are everything. I chose gold as the single accent colour because it reads immediately as quality — it shows up in button borders, hover states, section dividers, and the navigation. Used sparingly, it lifts the entire palette without becoming loud.
The dark backgrounds aren't dramatic for their own sake. They make product imagery land. A white bathroom suite photographed against a near-black background reads as premium in a way it never would on a white page. Every design decision was made to serve the product — and the kind of customer who buys it.
Hero sections use frosted-glass text overlays so the photography always comes first. The brand, the colour, and the layout are all in service of the moment when a visitor thinks: yes, this is the kind of showroom I want to visit.
A site that works as hard as the team behind it
